Journey Update: December 2021

December seems to be a busy month for most of us. Christmas functions and family get-togethers fill the calendar rather quickly. We pray you all have a wonderful season celebrating the birth of Jesus with your family, friends, and church family. His coming changed the big world and His coming into my life changed my little world. I would not want to imagine my life without Jesus. By His grace, I am a happy and excited follower of Jesus.

Our CareBoxes are headed toward Haiti. They are in the hands of our shipper but more importantly they are in the hands of God. This is the craziest time we have ever shipped boxes in the twenty-something years of doing this project. Please keep praying for safe delivery to our church and school in Haiti. Again, thanks to everyone who helped with this project. When the kids receive these CareBoxes, they will be so happy and blessed. Thank you!

In our ‘churcheze’ language, we often talk about people being lost. I am not making light of the gravity of being lost without Jesus as our Savior and Redeemer—it is the worst kind of lostness. But even as a Christian, we sometimes feel lost in the mix of the world. It is not uncommon for us to feel out of place or lost in the crowd.

I just want to encourage you! You are NOT lost from God. He sees you and knows where you are. You may think that no one knows your struggles or of the difficulties you face on a daily basis. I am here to tell you, God sees and God knows. He knows every pain, and every disappointment. He also sees and knows, the moments of integrity when you painfully do the right thing even when no one else is looking. He is blessed by your faithfulness and steadfastness in the difficulties of your journey. He has provided release and victory for you. Be blessed in Him—He sees and knows.

God also sees the faithfulness of our ministry partners in different parts of the world who are laboring in the Kingdom of God in difficult places. Some are in countries where the Christian population is only 2 or 3 percent. Others wake each day surrounded by poverty, violence, and the look of despair in the eyes of their neighbors. In every situation, God sees and God knows. He supplies the needs and his light shines even brighter in the dark corners of this fallen world.

We thank you for standing with us and with those who look over the horizon of the world to see if we love Jesus by loving them. Thank you for loving Jesus and loving those who need His love. Again, God sees the faithful outworking of our compassion and He knows our heart.

We are praying for the Lord’s will and way to be apparent and followed in the coming year of 2022. The Lord has been faithful to show us the way and provide the means and empowerment to do His will. Thank you for being part of that plan.

Merry Christmas and may you be abundantly blessed in all ways in the New Year of 2022.

Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…

Yours on the Journey,

Harry L. Whitt
