We exist for God’s purpose not our own. We existed in the mind of God before He said, “Let there be light.” What a crazy thought but true. Yet, God does not exist so we can live happy, contented, and fulfilled lives. We exist for His pleasure and the fulfillment of His plan in and through us. When we find our purpose in Christ, we will be happy, contented, and fulfilled. Even in difficult times and situations, the overriding purpose from the Lord will be the push that helps us to persevere.
When we surrender our lives to His purpose and delight; we are then filled with joy and peace. Our joy comes from being in His purpose. Our joy is generated from the joy that flows from His heart when He sees His children living out His dream. It is as if our arteries are connected to His heart and the joyful fulfillment we experience is a result of being connected to the God of all creation.
Our circumstances do not determine our joy but being in a powerful life-flowing relationship with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit gives us joy that is beyond any description. It all starts by surrendering to Him and to His purpose for your life.
Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher wrote these words, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” Paraphrased in layman’s terms, “He who has a purpose to live can bear almost any difficulty.”
From a Christian perspective, hear the words of these scriptures,:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV).
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
(Words of Jesus; John 15:4-5 NKJV)
“Lord, let your desires be fulfilled in my life by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
