Journey of Prayer

I think we all struggle with spiritual disciplines. We need to be diligent in the study of God’s Word and in prayer. I believe these are the two most important spiritual disciplines.

I have a small spiral notebook I use for my prayer lists. On the inside cover, I scribbled some points to keep me on track in my praying. Here are those points; perhaps they will help you in your Journey of Prayer. Use them as guide points in your prayers.

Journey of Prayer

Thank Him for what He has done

Praise and Exalt Him for who He is

Ask Him for the needs of others and yourself

Ask Him for the further revelation of His Kingdom and righteousness

Ask Him for the exposure of the snares and pitfalls of the enemy

Seek Him for the knowledge of His Word

Seek Him for the understanding of His will

Seek Him for the wisdom of His ways

Knock for the doors of opportunity to be opened to share the life, light, and love of His Kingdom in this world

In the Name that is above all Names, Jesus Christ—Amen
