Journey Update — August 2018

A new school year begins this week in our area.  We have blinked twice and the vacation days of summer are gone.  Yet, here in Alabama, we have many more days of summer heat to endure.  Our school in Haiti will begin in full force September 3rd with some of the older grades beginning August. 6th.

We appreciate everyone who has helped with the school uniform project.  The money has been sent so the cloth can be purchased in bulk.  Pastor Baptiste buys rolls of cloth and distributes the material needed for each student.  We will send the funds for books a little closer to school opening, so there is time to help with that.  There will be about 350 students to whom we supply uniforms and books.  We also pay the teachers each month and provide a hot meal every school day which means we can use your help any month and every month.

This is a great time of the year to buy supplies, especially school supplies, for our Christmas CareBox Project.  The deadline for the CareBoxes will be noon Tuesday, November 6th.  If you need a deadline sheet you can print one from our website; go to PathwayOutreach.org and click on “Christmas CareBoxes” in the menu.  We appreciate the great help we have had with this project for so many years.

The Whitt family is growing!  My son, Seth and his wife, Lanie are expecting a new baby this month.  Perri Amelia Jane Whitt will be making her arrival at the end of August.  She has a four year old sister, Audra and a fifteen month old sister, Lizzy; so we will have all hands on deck for a while.  Please pray for a safe delivery and healthy mom and baby.

Pathway School of Ministry will begin its Fall Term on Monday, September 10, 2018 beginning at 6:30 pm.  Classes will meet for eight weeks on scheduled Monday nights.  The course this term will be the Book of Job.  All classes will be held at New Life Christian Center in Sardis City, Alabama.  For more information contact me at HarryWhitt@PathwayJourney.com.

I do not have the proper words to express my gratitude to God and to His people who have blessed Pathway Outreach Ministries so much.  If I haven’t told you lately, let me say it again, “Thank you!  Thank you!”  When we began back in 1994, I had no idea of how many lives this ministry would be touching with the love of Jesus in five countries of the world.  It is actually quite humbling, because I know it is way beyond me.  This is definitely God’s work and His doing, He has merely taken me along on the journey.

Every month is a miracle!  We need your continued support and prayers.

Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…

Yours on the Journey,

Harry L. Whitt
