Evangelism is not salesmanship. People are not funneled into Christianity with smooth human tactics. There is a revelation component that is often missed in our Christian circles. There is an eighteen-inch difference between true salvation and mere mental assent—the distance between the head and the heart yet it is eternity long.

A lingering question is asked these days given the situation we see in our world, “What can we do?” It is an earthly question with a spiritual answer. Much of what people see as a cultural shift, political upheaval, or religious persecution is a spiritual manifestation.

Can you believe it’s November? I’m ready for COVID-19, elections, and hot weather to be over with. Anyone with me on this? “I see that hand!!”
The deadline for our CareBox Project for our children in Haiti will be Tuesday, November 10th at noon. We will be shipping them out that afternoon making their long journey to our facilities outside of Leogane, Haiti. We greatly appreciate each individual and church that helps us with this project. It blesses a bunch of children. Thank you all so much.

This morning as I was praying, I prayed, “Lord, I want to add one more voice [mine] to the many voices bringing you glory today.” It was then my mind began to think of the “one”. I am only one, you also are only one, yet Christ who died for all, still loves the one.

Concerning our perceived effectiveness, the church has done a fair job of saving people from Hell, but a poor job of saving people from their brokenness. Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples, not just converts. I am afraid in our enthusiasm to make only converts we have left a heap of lost souls in the wake of false confessions and hurry-up-sinner-prayers.
Do We Look for Another?
John the Baptist was the forerunner of Christ. He was sent to prepare the way for Jesus. He jumped in his mother’s womb when Mary, pregnant with Jesus, visited his mother. In later years on the banks of the river he declared Jesus to be the Lamb who would take away the sins of the world. He baptized Jesus in the Jordan River and was present when the Spirit descended like a dove and remained on Jesus. I am sure he heard the words of the Father from Heaven directed to Jesus, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22 NKJV).
Anyone is Redeemable
I was somewhat amused by the various reactions to Kanye West’s conversion. There were skeptics from the religious world and the secular world. The woke are in the dark when someone else has seen the light. They are as confused concerning someone’s turn-around as they are to the meaning and purpose of life.
Supernatural Birth
There is one revelation I have become more convinced of than ever, and it is that we cannot logically convince someone to become a Christian. I know this may sound strange or even heretical to some people but please hear me out. True evangelism is not an earthly technique, but a spiritual reaction brought about by a supernatural convergence of man and God.
Persecution from a Christian Perspective
On a typical Sunday morning in the United States, as we ease into our comfortable pews if someone were to ask us, “Are you comfortable?” Our response may be about the pew or the temperature level in the church. While in other places of the world “comfortable” is not a consideration in their Christianity. They may have looked over their shoulder as they turned down the street leading to the gathering of the saints. The cramped quarters or the temperature level is the least of their concerns. Spiritual Identity
There is an identity problem in our world that has led to great confusion. People are confused, not knowing who they are. They are searching for an identity, for a rock to stand on in a flooded stream. Some have went on journeys for the sole reason of “finding themselves” as if they were somewhere else. There are way too many poor, lost, wandering souls who are alienated from God’s original design and created identity.
