(Online Version of Pathway Outreach Ministries’ Monthly Update)

When I think about the month of May, I think of several things. In my student days and years in education, I eagerly looked forward to the school year coming to an end. I also think of Mother’s Day which is the second Sunday in May. So happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful mothers; I pray you have a great celebration with your families. Other events in May for me is about birthdays; my birthday, Jennie’s birthday, and also Lizzy, our granddaughter’s birthday is in May. So it is an eventful month for our family.
We really appreciate our wonderful supporters who bless us with your prayers, financial support, and encouragement. I pray for you by name and my heart is overjoyed with thankfulness when your name is uttered in prayer. As I manage the affairs of this ministry, I am amazed at God and His people. I am amazed at those in difficult regions of this world who put themselves on the line for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. Furthermore, I am amazed at those who give so faithfully and abundantly to provide the needs of this ministry. Thank you, thank you so much!
I communicate regularly with our ministry partners around the world and also see the news reports. Some of our ministry partners are in countries where they are overwhelmed with case numbers of coronavirus and governmental restrictions. Haiti is in the worst situation concerning security I have ever seen. There is much lawlessness and little protection for the population. Inflation has affected the buying power of their currency and a myriad of other problems makes life more difficult for the Haitian people.
The world is in a mess but the Gospel of Christ and His church still prevails. We are victorious in Him. We live in a time of great opportunity because when the darkness seems to be overwhelming, it is then that the Light of Jesus shines the brightest. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NKJV). It is a well-worn cliché but true nonetheless, “I have read the back of the book and we win!”

As the school year in Haiti begins to wind down, we also begin our preparation for the upcoming school year. Toward the end of July, we will need to purchase the fabric for the school uniforms and order school books. It takes about $15/student to get them started in a new school year ($150 will help ten students). This is always a big project and we need your help. Please prayerfully consider helping with this project. Donations of any amount need to be made payable to Pathway Outreach Ministries and note on the donation for: “Uniforms”. You can also donate online through our website, PathwayOutreach.org for your convenience or on the homepage of our blog site (blog site donations are in $25 increments, use drop down window for more than $25).
Thanks again for all your support and prayers. Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…
Yours on the Journey,
Harry L. Whitt
