Journey Update: January 2019

Happy New Year!  We have kissed 2018 goodbye and are now hugging 2019.  We are thankful for the Lord’s blessings on us this past year and are excited about the opportunities in the coming year.  We are thankful for your prayers and support in the past and ask for your continued help in the coming months of this year.  For a recap of December, read on…

We celebrated Christmas all over the map this past month.  At our school in Haiti, Pastor Baptiste and staff had a big party for the kids.  Each of the 380 students received a Christmas CareBox and a nice Christmas meal of rice, vegetables, and a chicken leg.  He sent me a bunch of pictures and a few videos.  The kids were so happy and blessed.

We had a bumper crop of 681 CareBoxes this year for the children of Haiti.  Because of the abundant supply, Pastor Baptiste was also able to bless three other area churches and one local outreach project with CareBoxes for their children.  Through your abundant giving you all were a four-fold blessing.

Christmas blessings went to the other side of the globe, as we were able to send some extra money to Pastor Reddy in India.  He bought some new clothing for the fifteen village pastors and also some clothing for the 20 widows we help each month.  I received some lovely and colorful pictures from him.

The Winter Term of Pathway School of Ministry will begin Monday, January 14th at 6:30 pm.  The course of study this term will be “The Gospel in a Secular Culture”.  Classes will meet for eight sessions, all on scheduled Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and are held at New Life Christian Center in the Sardis City area near Boaz, Alabama.  Call me for more information.

We are making plans to go to Haiti in February so please pray for us as we roll back the curtain, opening 2019 to a new year of Journeying with Jesus to the dark corners of the world.  Pathway Outreach touches the lives of approximately 2000 people with the spiritual bread of Jesus Christ and over 400 people with physical bread each week in five countries of the world.  It truly is a miracle of God’s grace and supernatural provision.  You are part of this miracle—thank you all so much!

Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…

Yours on the Journey,
