Chaos of the World

There is so much that seems to be out of control. Chaos abounds in the world at levels we have not seen in many decades. We have the first sniffs of possible nuclear war since the early sixties. Eggs cost about forty percent more than a year ago. There is a determined assault on families, the foundation of ordered society. Violence against the innocent and death by drugs have increased with only nominal attention from the media and little outrage from leaders.

To make matters even worse, most politicians are more interested in scoring political points than solving real problems. Many world leaders like to portray themselves as enlightened intellectuals, but in reality, are deceived futile-minded puppets controlled by strings of an evil force of destruction.

When you see chaos in an individual’s life, a family, a city, a nation, or the world; it is not random or by chance. It is an orchestration on earth designed by a diabolical force in the spiritual realm.

Jesus describes this breakdown, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10a NKJV). The thief who robs the earth of abundance, health, peace, and stability is none other than Satan. He is the sire of all deception, destruction, disinformation, and disruption. His name is translated “adversary” and he is indeed the adversary against all the good God wants to do in the world.

At times, Satan seems to be winning, but his demise will be the eventual victory of God. I have no doubt of his final defeat when he and his minions are defeated and flushed into the fiery sewer of Hell.

It is easy to become frustrated as we witness the chaotic and destructive forces at work in this world. Chaos is the means to an end for the disciples of hell. Often the earthly participants are not even aware of the process they enable. They are the fruit of the devil’s deceitful seed, cloaked in the desire for riches, power, and control.

Satan is the master craftsman of deception. Destruction is made to sound constructive. War is touted as the means to peace. Promises made of better days bring the doom of bitter ends. The deception is so deep that many peddle a lie as truth, hell as bliss, and wrong as right.

The devil is setting the chess board for checkmate, but God does not play board games. Man’s history is God’s railway because He hammers the twisted metal of evil into the instrument of His determined plan. His truth will prevail over lies. His order will triumph over chaos. And yes, His wrath will eventually destroy the wicked. Satan is the diabolical thief destined for eternal destruction. We need to resist his ploys to enslave us for his purposes.

We have choices as we live on this earth, choices of life or death, truth or falsehood, righteousness or evil. We do not have to live in blinded falsehood or disorder. Jesus Christ reaches out to us with love, truth, and mercy, that can only be accepted by hearts of faith, repentance, and confession.

We have the privilege of being citizens of the Kingdom of God, a dominion that is far greater and more lasting than anything on this ball of dirt. The first part of John 10:10 (NKJV) was quoted previously, but the last portion is one of great promise for the followers of Jesus, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

A word to the wise, prepare yourselves spiritually for the spiritual battle we are in and is coming. How do you prepare? Do the simple things:
• Fill your heart and mind with the Word of God.
• Develop a strong prayer life.
• Draw closer to the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
• Strongly connect with other Christ followers.
• Be better not bitter, let your heart be tender and your skin tough.
• Seek an abundance to help the weak not to enrich yourself.
• Cry out to God instead of screaming at the world.
• Be the devil’s worst enemy, but your neighbor’s best friend.

It is a greater honor to be chosen by God than loved by the world. Remember, we are not of this world, as Jesus taught in John 15:18-19 (NKJV), “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Buckle up Buttercup, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Try to enjoy the scenery as best you can, but don’t get used to it, this world is not our home. If you are a Child of God, your destination is glorious, but before arrival there is a lot of God’s work to do. Remember, we were born for such a time as this. Be faithful to Jesus, live in His life and truth, and be diligent in the work He has called you to do! Love not the world nor the things in it.

Yours on the Journey,

    1. Thank you Sister Judy for your comment. Yes, studying the Bible and praying are the two most important spiritual disciplines we can do. The management of our every day life can hinder us. The urgent sometimes gets in the way of the most important.
