One of my favorite mission scriptures is Mark 16:15 (NKJV) where Jesus told His disciples, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” He left no place untouched and left no one out—His Gospel is to all the world and to every person. The word “creature” in this scripture is not a demeaning term but speaks to the original formation of the being. The world divides men into races, politics, football teams, classes, etc., but God sees all people as the original formation who were created to be in a personal relationship with Himself.
On one of my journeys, we had travelled to a country on the other side of the world where Christians are less than 3 percent of the population. We were sitting in the airport of a major city awaiting our last short flight to our destination. The trip had been long and we had been away from home with more than 45 hours of travel time and we had a little hassle getting checked through.
(NOTE: Featured photo is a stock photo of an unidentified airport. They are all different but they are all the same as well, especially the big ones.)
We were sitting in the departure gate waiting area. I was bone tired, and a little flustered. In times like this, my fleshly side begins to ask questions, “Why am I doing this?” The Lord told me to look all around me. I looked and all around me were at least 200 people. Then the Lord asked me, “Which of these people do you want to perish without Christ?” (Enough said!! Harry surrenders and submits again.) “Okay Lord, I’ll go wherever you want me to go!”
For the record, I do not want anyone to perish, neither does God. As the scripture says, the Lord is, “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9b NKJV). Mankind needs a savior and Jesus Christ is the only Savior. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
I love my journey with Jesus. It is fulfilling and exciting, but not always comfortable. My spiritual journey has been a progression of being uncomfortable. God makes me uncomfortable with my status quo. The Lord has helped me be comfortable in uncomfortable physical situations, but I cannot get spiritually comfortable when Holy Spirit makes me uncomfortable. I hope I didn’t confuse anyone, but it makes sense to me. I’m a little restless and ready to go. In the world, we currently have some obstacles for travel, but we are praying for God to open the way. He will in time.
We are very thankful for your financial support and prayers as we have been able to continue our work in six countries of the world even though the situation has been difficult. Through Pathway Outreach Ministries, about 500 people receive food each week and the lives of about 2500 people are touched with the Gospel of Christ through our ministry partners. God has been faithful and so has His people like you. Our blog has reached 46 different countries in 2020. Without Jesus we could do nothing, we give Him all the glory. I am happy that He takes me on this journey with Him. He does the impossible with nothing.

On April 2nd , we will have our annual Good Friday CrossWalk. This walk is from Gadsden, Alabama to the city of Guntersville on US Highway 431 and is a prayer walk for the carriers and a witness to the world. The 31-mile trek has about 20+ cross-bearers. We have been doing this for several decades using the same cross and celebrating our crucified and resurrected Savior Jesus Christ.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers.
Rejoicing in the salvation, which is by grace through faith, I am…
Yours on the Journey,
Harry L. Whitt
