Thanksgiving is just weeks away. We want to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving as you gather with your family to celebrate and to thank God for all of His blessings. As Christians, we know that thanksgiving to God is very important. In Psalms 100:4 (NKJV), it encourages us to, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise, Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
We want to express our thanks to God for His blessings on this ministry and for those who support and pray for us. We thank each one of you who encourage, pray, and support us financially.
As I write this, just outside my office is a hallway that looks like a warehouse. The walls are lined with cargo boxes filled with Christmas CareBoxes for the children of Haiti. So far we have more than 600 boxes with more on the way. We appreciate so much those individuals and churches who have helped us this year. This is the most we have had in years. When I see a CareBox, I also see smiles of happy kids who receive a gift of love put together with hands connected to a loving heart.
Pastor Baptiste, from our work in Haiti, will be visiting us this month. We look forward to his visit and the interaction he will have with folks on this side of the water. He will be preaching at our church, New Life Christian Center on Sunday morning, November 11 at 10:30 am. He will also be preaching at Eglise Porte Etroite (Haitian Church) on Sunday night, November 11 at 6:30 pm. Then on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm, we will have an informal meeting with him at New Life where folks can ask questions and get to know him better. If you need any more details, you can contact me.
I am making plans for a mission trip to Haiti after the first of the year. More than ever, I am thankful for the opportunities God has opened for us and for his blessings of health and provision to fulfill His will in our lives and ministry. I am always in need of your prayers.
Our affiliated work in India is going well. Pastor Reddy oversees fifteen congregations and we are currently helping about twenty widows with a monthly food distribution project. India has a population of about 1.35 billion people and only about 2-3% of that number is Christian. It is certainly a ripe harvest for the Gospel. We are also involved in Cuba and Pakistan.
Pathway School of Ministry has just a few more class meetings for this term. We have been studying the Book of Job which has been an interesting and eye-opening journey through one of the oldest narratives in the Bible. Our Winter Term will be kicking off in January and the course will be “The Gospel in a Secular Culture”. You may contact me for more information.
To those who support us financially, your gift does more than provide monetary help; it brings great encouragement to us—to know someone loves and cares. Thank you so much!!
Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…
Yours on the Journey,
