Journey Update: October 2018

Autumn is upon us and I am wondering where this much of the year has gone.  Time flies when you are having fun, as the old saying goes.  There is nothing like being and working in the Kingdom of God; knowing that you are part of something so much bigger than yourself.

At Pathway Outreach, we have always strived to keep the “main thing” the main thing.  We know and try never to forget that this organization is only a instrument in the hand of God to fulfill His purpose and pleasure in the earth.  Our existence is contingent only in fulfilling His will; we are not an end to ourselves.  I know that our support from believers comes about by God prompting their hearts.  We thank you for your obedience to the prompting.  I am a poor fundraiser, but God is a Great Provider for His Purpose.  It is our responsibility to keep our hearts right and in tune with His purpose for His continued abundant provision.  We have no other tactic or plan for raising this ministry’s support than to stay spiritually in tune and simply rely upon God.  We try to keep you informed of our heart and our activities and leave the rest to God.  It has worked for the last 24 years as God has miraculously supplied our needs.

REMINDER OF PATHWAY OUTREACH’S PURPOSE:  Our purpose is to lead people to Christ for salvation, healing, and restoration.  The journey continues as we become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ being transformed by the Word of God, submitting to the Holy Spirit, and committing ourselves to a life of humble service to God and men.  Our goal is to live and lead others in the journey of true discipleship with Jesus.

I have heard from many of you, that you are working on the Christmas CareBox Project for Haiti.  I have been there when we distributed the boxes to the kids and it is an amazing sight.  This is a great blessing to some of the poorest kids on the planet.  We are only one month away from the deadline on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon.  We will ship them out that afternoon.  This year is going to be a banner year for the program as we have about 500 boxes in house as we speak, and several new churches have told me they are helping this year.  If you need a guideline sheet you can view/print at our website: PathwayOutreach.org and click on “Christmas CareBoxes” in the menu.

Pastor Baptiste from Haiti will be visiting us in Alabama in November, we are excited about his visit.  He is pictured with me in the featured photo above.  We are walking down one of the streets in Leogane, Haiti.

Thanks to all our friends and supporters who pray and support this ministry, you make my heart smile.

Rejoicing in the salvation which is by grace through faith, I am…

Yours on the Journey,

Harry L. Whitt
