Whose Strength?

In the kingdom of God, the calling of God’s work must be larger than our hands or it is only the work of a man. If it can be accomplished outside of God’s power, it is only the work of man.

That which requires God’s strength, is truly the work of God in His kingdom.

John 15:4-5 NKJV
(4) Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
(5) "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

The people who built the tower of Babel wanted to be great and make a name for themselves. They had no dependence upon God but only upon their own ability. God confused their language. God will not bless with His hand what His mouth has not spoken.

“And they said, ‘Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth'” (Genesis 11:4 NKJV).

When a man believes he has a God given dream to attempt something in God’s kingdom, he must see something beyond himself. Depending on the scope of it, but usually there are only two possible outcomes: a miracle only God could do, or we appear to be complete fools.

When we answer Jesus’s call to go into the world with the miracle working power of the Gospel, there will be perfectly sane people who will think we are crazy. In the eyes of the world, we are crazy. Put a pin on the label and wear it as a badge!

When a person endeavors to go beyond his own resources, intelligence, strength, and courage to rely solely upon the power of God, then he is on holy ground.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 NKJV
(27)  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
(28) and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
(29) that no flesh should glory in His presence.
