From Darkness to Light

Jesus gave an analogy between natural vision and spiritual vision. “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matt. 6:22-23 NKJV).

Spiritual light enters our lives to bring vision. If our spiritual eyes are good, we will be filled with light (vision). If our spiritual eyes are not good, then we remain in darkness.

True Disciple: A Follower of Jesus

A disciple of Jesus is a follower of Jesus. Someone who merely acknowledges Jesus as a great religious leader is not a disciple. Many people have only a mental nod to who Jesus is.

True Discipleship Means No Alternatives

Following Jesus with No Options

Following Jesus with No Options:

I hate picking out colors of paint because there are just too many options.  Some foreign restaurants I have eaten in, only give you a choice of available meat and you have no option with the side dishes; you get what they usually serve.  When it comes to the side dishes, you either eat it or leave it.  Of course, I usually eat it!

When it comes to being a true disciple of Jesus Christ, why do some folks think they have options?
